Moving Mouth - in progress
For this project will you find an image of a person the internet, and you are going to make his/her mouth move, using key frames.
Step 1
Find a picture of a person on the internet, facing forward with his/her mouth closed. Save the image. Open the image in Fireworks for the Mac and in Photoshop on the Windows machine.
Once the image is open, use the brush tool to paint the lower lip black. This will make it look like the person has his/ her mouth open when you move the lower lip. Moving the lower lip gives the illusion that the person is opening and closing their mouth.
Copy the image and paste it into a new Flash file. Rename the layer person. Lock the layer.
Go back to the image in Fireworks for the Mac and in Photoshop on the Windows machine.
Press ctrl Z until the black is gone and the picture is back to normal. Use the lasso tool and draw a shape around the lower lip. Once you have that shape selected, press copy. Open Flash and create a new layer. Paste the lip in it's own layer. Rename the layer lip. Make sure the lip layer is on top of the person layer. Move the lip to the correct position on your person over the black.
In frame 2 press the F6 key. Using the move tool to select the lip, use the down arrow key to move the lip down on click. In frame 3 press the F6 key. Continue to do this until you have the mouth open as far as you want. To close the mouth again, use the move tool to select the lip, use the up arrow key to move the lip up on click. Continue to do this until you have the mouth closed again. Press the enter key to watch your animation.
Export your animation as a quicktime movie. Upload your file to imovie, edit your video and sound or part of a song, copy the moving mouth until your video is 20 secs long, and add credits. Export your finished animation as a quicktime file, and upload your file to weebly.
